[edit] Internet Connection Firewall
Windows Firewall first appeared in Windows XP as Internet Connection Firewall. The problem of the first version (in RTM & SP1) was that the only thing you can do is to turn it on or off.
[edit] Firewall 2.0
The second version of firewall renamed the firewall line as Windows Firewall. This version was improved from the first version by letting you do more configurations in a separate applet. This version appeared in SP2.
[edit] Current Version (3.0)
